Synchronizing your handheld with your desktop server

PhysioGraphic enables you to synchronize the information on your desktop PC with the information of your handheld PCs with ease. As you did it for software installation on you handheld, you must plug your handheld with your desktop PCs, using either the USB cradle or the infrared port. (USB cradle is highly recommended for faster synchronization).

Before you begin synchronization, install ActiveSync on the desktop PC. Normally ActiveSync is already installed on your handheld.

After installation complete, the ActiveSync Setup Wizard helps you connect your handheld to your desktop PC, setup a partnership so you can synchronize information. PhysioGraphic only requests to have access (read/write) in the handheld file systems.

So to synchronize your data, first you need to start up PhysioGraphic on your desktop computer. From the toolbar right below the main menu, please click on . The dialog show below pops up on the screen:

This dialog box helps you synchronizing all your data between desktop and handheld computer. First you must click on Connect button. PhysioGraphic will attempt to connect itself to the handheld. Also make sure that PhysioGraphic is not running on your handheld PC. Depending on the result, you must read Connecting to your handheld PC....Success in the status window. If not, check the error message and make the necessary adjustments.

When connected, you must first setup your handheld PC. Each handheld must be assigned to one healthcare provider, such that it synchronizes only his appointments, and not those of his collegues. Then you could setup the document template to be used in the handheld's word processing. At last, if desired, in order to free up memory on your handheld, uncheck the photo box, if you do not have a lot of memory remaining. It is noteworthy to highlight that:

Handheld  cannot synchronize with two different desktop computers at the same time. It must be set up for one desktop PC only.

Do not remove handheld from the cradle whilst synchronizing. Once your synchronization over, click on the disconnect button.
