Tabs and the ruler |
Tab is a marker set at a specific position of a paragraph with respect to the left margin. It modifies the textual flow of a paragraph. For each one, PhysioGraphic allows you to define up to 14 tabs.
First after typing several lines with tabs and line feeds, select one of your paragraph. Every time a TAB has been added at the position of the caret, the text is shifted by one tab up to the next tab marker. As you notice, ruler is marked with little ticks, each one 1 mm apart from the others. The 0 starts at the left margin and not at the edge of a page. PhysioGraphic allows you to have four different tabs, one for left alignment, one for right alignment, one for center alignment, and finally another for decimal alignment.
| Tabs | Marker | Example |
| Right alignment |
Knee 5.28 N Elbow 42.135 N |
|
| Center alignment |
Knee 5.2831234 N Elbow 42.135 N |
|
| Decimal alignment |
Knee 5.28445 Elbow 42.135 |
|
| Left alignment |
Knee 5.28445 N Elbow 42.135 |
Moving these marker on the ruler only affects selected paragraph. To add a new marker, click on one button from the toolbar, then click on the ruler at the desired position. PhysioGraphic will display this new marker on the ruler and selected paragraphs will change appearance. It is noteworthy to remember that you may define up to 14 marker for any paragraph. Otherwise you should insert a table as it will be explained later in this chapter.
